Spain > Pyrenees > Senda Camille Trek at the Western Pyrenees

The Senda Camille Trek is one of the most emblematic routes that can be done in the Pyrenees. The name of the trail originates from the last Pyrenean brown bear that walked through the valley until 2010.

The Senda Camille Trek will take us to walk without rest for 7 days to cover 120 kilometers of trails between Spain and France in the western Aragonese Pyrenees. During our journey we will be stamping a card that will show that we have passed through all the shelters along the route, and when we finish we will take a “finisher” t-shirt as a prize.

Our Senda Camille Trek starts* in the Selva de Oza in Valle de Echo where the Gabardito refuge is also located. We will continue through Aragües del Puerto where we find Lizara´s Hut to cross through the Port of Vernera to Somport where we will stop at the Albergue de Aysa at the Candanchú station. From there our trek will take us to cross to France to the Valle d´Aspe where we will stay at d´Arlet Hut and the charming town of Lescun. Finally we will return to Spain through the Ansó Valley.

In this way, thanks to our trekking along the Senda Camille we will be imitating the steps of what has been considered the last Pyrenean brown bear.

* The route can be modified according to the availability of the huts.
