An exciting Trekking through the Zanskar Valley in the Himalayas, the Zanskar Trek, that combines culture and mountains in two phases which allow us to discover this isolated and magical Buddhist kingdom.
We will enter in one of the most isolated valleys in the Himalayas: the Zanskar valley, starting with a cultural road trip through the Kullu and Lahul-Spiti valleys. During these first days we will visit typical Tibetan Buddhist temples and monasteries such as Hadimba Devi.
On the sixth day we will start the Zanskar Trek. We will start in Lingti to spend our first night of camping, in Rabo Chorten (4,400 meters). During our trek we will pass through small local populations of yak herders, who take advantage of high altitude pastures in the summer. After passing Phirtsela, the highest point of our journey (5,435 meters), we will descend to enter the Zanskar valley. The Zanskar Trek will take us to visit Phuktal Gompa, the largest Buddhist fortification in the entire valley and we will cross several villages, such as Char and Hamumi on our way to Mune and Padum, the former capital of the kingdom.

Day 15: Mune – Padum – Karsha Monastery
Day 16: Karsha – Rangdum
Day 17: Rangdum – Kargil
Day 18: Kargil – Mulbek – Lamayuru – Leh
Day 19: Leh (free day)
Day 20: Leh – Delhi – Hometown
